    Dog Days of Summer

    Does anyone say that anymore? If you’ve heard it, does it feel like we say it later in the summer than we used to? It’s that time of year when I mourn the end of summer and the waning daylight. In the western hemisphere, daylight hours have been slowly decreasing. Have you noticed? It’s a gradual change, just like being in the proverbial boiling pot. We don’t realize until, “Wow, it’s 8pm and it’s already dark!” I miss the light. What does this have to do with art?
