Everyday Life

Don’t you love synchronicity? I do.

I’ve been reading Seth Godin’s book The Practice over the past month. It’s juicy. I’m feeling challenged and comforted all at the same time. Basically, it’s a reminder to do the work, trust yourself, and ship your work.

Today my good friend and fellow artist, Tami, invited me to join her in 21 days of making and posting art. No challenge, no rules. Just showing up and using art and creativity to process each day. Synchronicity. I’m in.

One of the questions I’ve been grappling with for many months is does it matter? How could it possibly matter given all the things happening in our country and world right now?

Here’s where I landed. It does matter. Creativity and love matter. Sharing both of these is imperative!

I don’t mean that we should ignore what’s wrong, we’ve done that for too long in this country. But we move forward. We work. We come together in community with love and kindness. We create together. We do the work together. We seek others to share our light.

We make. We love. We mend. We build.
